We Lost Another One
The sad shootings and suicide in Montreal a few weeks ago brought back once more the urgency of reaching out to anyone who feels so alienated, so in despair and darkness, that they cannot find their way out — that they cannot feel the joy and peace of Light, or their connections to Source.
We are losing too many to darkness, drugs, alcohol, and despair. I believe the shooter was an Indigo.
That this kind of thing is still happening is not acceptable to me! What happened in Montreal, as in Columbine, I see as a failure of human consciousness. We all carry responsibility for seeing that it does not happen again. Our young people who are in trouble need us right now.
I request that each one of us take a closer look around. Who are we in contact with, that is feeling stress and despair? Who do we know, that is having a hard time? Surround that person with light, first — and then please reach out to them — because I believe that anyone who is locked into that much darkness may be incapable of reaching out for help, or for Light.
Whatever you do, see the Light that is there in them! That is THE most valuable thing you can do. Become their Sacred Witness. No need to fix them or their problems, just let them know that you see them, that you acknowledge who they are, that you care and will listen to what is bothering them, that you are willing to help them find non-violent answers if they are willing to let go of their pain.
Remember how it feels if someone tells you what to do! Don’t do that! Coach them, listen, and share your own truth — be respectful of their pain AND their human struggles, while you also know deeply that there is hope and a way beyond wherever they are now. They need that so much. And that is something you can do — witness, love, and stay present.
Please step up — if you can — and BE THERE for them!
And if YOU are one of those who are silently struggling in darkness, please let someone who cares know. People of great light, peace and love are here to help heal this and so much more.
