Your Questions Have Answers
Lately I’ve been getting several questions from readers, and since I know how much my answers are going to help some of you others, I decided to write them here, for everyone to see. That way I can just write it once.
What some of you have been telling me is how it feels to be so different from others in your environment.
One reader says “There has been a lot of fear and pain in my life, with no evident cause except that I can feel what others feel. Sometimes its easier to be alone because then I can concentrate on my own emotions and feelings rather then soaking up everyone elses. However, a lot of the cases when I’m alone it just hits me how different I seem to be from everyone else.”
First of all, if you really are taking on the energies of others through your extended empathic qualities, there are several things that you can do to protect yourself,
The first way that I would recommend is to use flower essences, because you are repairing problems that originate in your energy field — and flower essences are a safe, easy and natural way to restore the balance. In this particular case, you are in even better luck because there is a special formula that I made several years ago (and which I’ve improved over the years as newer flowers became available). The second thing you can do (and I highly recommend this too) is to create a meditation for yourself to protect your energy field.. All you need to do is to visualize a clear bubble of Light to surround your whole body. Think of this as if you are putting on an extra (but invisible) garment ~ and do this either every morning before you go out into the day, or just before you will be in a challenging environment.
The third thing that you can do is to consciously discharge some of your unwanted energies back into the earth. To do this the best way, you should be out in the natural world — but if you cannot do that when you need to discharge, it’s OK to use the soil from a potted plant. First ask the specific “earth” that you chose if you may be permitted to discharge your unwanted energies there ~ and wait until you get a clear response.
Listen. If you’re THAT empathic this is going to be real easy! I promise. It’s either going to be a yes or a no. (A “maybe” is a no. Or a “not now.”)
When you get a clear yes, then go ahead and release those unwanted energies right into the soil. (Remember, earth is an element and knows what to do with compost!)
So right there are three practical steps you can take to help with this problem.
And there is a fourth one, which you are already using: take time by yourself. Quiet stillness is VERY important for Indigos. We need it to process and reflect. We can’t function well if we get into that overloaded overstimulated place — we need time to slow down and get still. Reconnect with Source. “Recharge the batteries.”
