Was Michael Jackson An Indigo?
Short answer is: maybe.
While I was not a huge fan of Michael Jackson (his style of music wasn’t my taste), I was certainly aware of him ~ and the undeniable charismic energy he carried. So far as I know, he never took an Indigo assessment, or in any way implied that he was aware that he might carry Indigo energy. But from what he wrote, from his music, and from certain elements of his tormented life, it seems plausible to me that he very well may have been Indigo.
And if that’s true, then it’s also pretty clear that he wasn’t seeking the best spiritual support team to help him better use his significant talents. I’m not going to go into the controversies about his life (and there are so many it will probably take years to discover the truth behind his extremely private ~ often paranoid ~ personal world) ~ nor into the controversies surrounding his financial affairs.
But what I would like to address are the ways that Michael Jackson led a lonely life, by his own admission, and how the help that might have sustained him was there, but he apparently turned instead to comforts of the moment, some of which may have contributed to his untimely and mysterious death. His life was all about performing, expressing a message in forms of his own design, and connecting with others mostly remotely — from a distance.
He was a very Aquarian figure — focused on many of the large issues of our times, caring, and completely unique and unusual. As a star on the international scene, few ever shone brighter — or flamed out so tragically. His life was in many ways very sad; and so was his death.
Let me be a voice for compassion here ~ and remember Michael Jackson as someone with a vision, many Indigo traits, and a voice that kept trying to touch us in ways he could not otherwise. Michael aspired to touch the soul of the world — and for many of us, his music did that. He reminded us about redemption, and a higher vision. He clearly saw into realms that ordinary people never consider; he saw what is possible and tried to tell us about it. Sometimes he succeeded, even when it shocked us.
He blazed trails courageously, sometimes where angels fear to tread. He was “in our face” about gender identity and what it means to be male in a world that lags behind those who dare to take us into many kinds of possible futures. Unfortunately, his message wasn’t always clear or coherent. Maybe he was working his way up to that. Now we may never know what he hoped, what he intended, and what his true vision for humanity was.
I’ve heard that there are around 100 unreleased new Michael Jackson songs; perhaps the rest of his message is in them. I for one hope that his brilliant mind and soul sings through loud and clear on some of them. Michael was both a cultural icon as well as an iconoclast.
Goodbye, Michael. My prayers are for you to now find the peace that seems to have eluded you while you were here. God speed on your path, wherever it leads you from here.

I’ve always kinda thought he was Indigo =]
His music makes my nerves twitch and my soul juices bubble. I dance in my seat on public transport when his songs play on my mp3 player ^_^
I don’t get “celebrity butterflies” — I’ve met a few and I don’t understand why there’s so much hype, because we’re all just people, y’know? But anyway — I can’t help but feel a strange kind of empathy and a want to hug the man, lol. Like we’re kinda “from the same place”.
My mum’s a journalist and she always calls him a freak and other such horrible things (she’s always been judged a lot, so she judges everyone pretty harshly — it’s her reality =S). It’s like when his interviews are on TV and he’s talking, I’m hearing one thing and other people are hearing something entirely different.
I also think there’s gotta be more to his distrust for adults than bad experience as a kid and growing up to fast. I guess if he was Indigo, it would explain an awful lot, lol.
But to be honest, I’m still undecided as to whether or not I even like the term “Indigo” and the idea of grouping us all together, because there is a problem with many people thinking “Indigo people are like *this*, universally,” which just…defeats the point, really, lol.
Either way, that was a beautiful article, so thank you for posting it =] It’s so nice to read something that’s been written out of love and good stuff, rather than a love of gossip and controversy.

Most definitely – without a doubt indigo. Not only is he – but Debbie is as well – and all 3 of his children clearly are too. You can quote me on this.
So, if Michael was, for instance the first INDIGO, the forerunner, what does that mean to us who are observing the younger kids, and to the indigos who have followed him and follow him, maybe without knowing the connection on a conscious level. What does Indigo usher in for us as an earth people, and our future?
Hi Janey,
First of all, Michael Jackson was FAR from the first Indigo! Indigos have been here (in smaller numbers) since the late 1800’s at least, perhaps earlier. There have been increasingly larger numbers coming in every decade since, with the largest first waves coming in the 1980’s.
What does it mean? Good question!
What do YOU think it means?

Ever since I heard about Indigo children/adults I have held the opinion that Michael Jackson was one of them. He was clearly a very unique man, with a vision for the world that transcended traditional age/race/gender boundaries. Of course his message was misunderstood by many and he was highly exploitable, an easy and vulnerable target because it seems as if he was too trusting and a little naive. A genuinely benevolent person though I think, with an interesting message for the world, if only it would listen.
I was 10 years old when I heared Michael’s songs for the first time. They made my hair rise and my body goose bump, as they still do, it was such an unusual, mystical feeling. I even didn’t speak English at that time, but I intuitively knew what the songs were about. If I’m an indigo, of which I’m pretty sure, then Michael must has been one, too.
I believe Michael is an indigo, or perhaps of a higher vibration. He was not well guided or understood but i believe his message touched many of us, even those who may have misunderstood, i’m sure on a soul level they well understood…
or maybe i did??… (‘;’)
I also feel he was open too much psychic attack. I feel such love for him, and I’ve never even met the man in my life!
I’m with you Kitty on grouping indigo’s together, i dont feel very comfortable with that? I’m still getting my head around a lot of the info I’ve read about indigo people.

If Michael was not an Indigo then I will eat my hat!!!!! he had so many indigo traits to the extent I would classify him as a mega super Indigo, his life, his missions & personality was simply amazing.
So he was a loner, that is because he was screamed at, chased down and stalked everytime he was out in public, even jesus did not get this much attention on earth, there wasn’t even a huge population back in jesus’s day as there was in michaels, think about that, michael was heard and seen by MILLIONS.
Michael had very important messages to give the world I am sure that with having his children his messages became even more deep and some of the unreleased songs would have been inspired by his own children and perhaps hold even more keys.
Please do not think me out there I am a simple housewife and mother of 4 BUT the very first time I heard MJ sing ben I was in a different world the very first time I saw what he looked like I was mezmerized I was very young, I have always loved him dearly I also got pulled into the media gossip like millions of others but a nagging feeling in the back of my mind said NO he would never hurt a soul especially a child…..the human race detroyed Michael if I am correct in saying Indigo’s are extremely sensitive and sometimes DRUGS are the only thing that shuts that emotion off…. this is a great page and I enjoyed your writing be blessed Kim.
Michael Jackson is truly the King of Pop. He made a lot of great songs in the area of Pop Music. His death is a great loss to the music industry.
It was really interesting for me to read the article and all of your comments!
My sister told me about Indigo’s a while ago and I’ve been very interested in learning more about them. When she told me about some of the “characteristics”, I automatically thought about Michael Jackson and of course if I was an Indigo too. Your comments were very helpful and gave me a lot of new knowledge about Indigo’s! Thanks!

He may have, I always thought of that.
“His life was all about performing, expressing a message in forms of his own design, and connecting with others mostly remotely — from a distance.”
Exactly right, he was so into it, it was like if he didnt know he was special, different… he was extremely magnetic and he didnt know how to handle some things, like if he was on a different world.
