Oh Ari you have a good point! If one were to be aware at all the possible levels not only within the physical body but also our subtle bodies as well, I wonder if we could function at an even higher level?

I suppose we will find out as we humans continue to improve and refine our consciousness and awareness.

For many years I've gone to see acupuncturists and various Eastern-discipline bodyworkers, whose practices focus on some of the subtler aspects of healing. It fascinates me not that there are all these channels we aren't generally familiar with, but also that there are some that most people know nothing about.

I'm still pondering the "Strange Flows" known to Jin Shin Do, for instance; they seem to me to be part of our essential patterns and may have much to do with our electrical systems. This intrigues me a lot because I am also a Flower Essences Practitioner, and I study the human electrical system through a "different lens".

I know about EFT also, although I don't often practice it. But I know what you're saying, that certain points resonate and others just don't.

Thanks for adding your thoughts, Ari! Glad to have you here :-)

I suppose it is funny that we use language that refers to physical locations. That said, I believe a lot of feelings do have physical locations -- I feel my stress in my stomach area, for example. And the whole thing with EFT. One day I tried taping myself in spots other than the ones we're told to do in EFT. It didn't work! ;-)

So we have spots in our bodies for these antennas and connections. That's what I think.

@ Jenny: Welcome! Sounds like you are truly on the path ~ and reaping the rewards of connections to Source. I find that just knowing I have a choice (to be connected or not) in each moment really makes the difference. It's when the distractions attract my attention that I have to double check and see if it's worth the stretch or not. Thanks for joining!

@Ari, yes sometimes it helps to "remove" oneself from the stimuli long enough to find that clarity and connection. I don't know about you, but when I feel that connection to Source it almost doesn't matter which choice I make because I have that confidence that no matter what, everything is OK and always will be. Don't know if that makes sense or not, or if you experience it the same way. But thanks for visiting and for your comment!

Isn't it funny how we use language like "away from" and "toward" to speak about our connections with Source, as if there could be any "where" that Source is not. . . just a thought.

What's yours?

Hi Nancy,
I am also here through Tom's project and I really enjoyed (and stumbled) your post.

I, like you take a kind of inventory at night before bed and think about if I stayed connected or where I let me attention go to. There are SOOO many distractions and I have been working on limiting as many of them as possible.

I know I have come very far in my spiritual development in the last 2 years and feel MANY more moments where I am in the now, and very happy. Then there are those days where something puts me a bit off track. The wonderful thing now is even if I am thrown off I know I will be back. I try to understand what threw me off and what I could learn from that experience.

I believe we all have what we need inside of us as well. The more we silence the ego and listen the more we are given. Sometimes it blows my mind JUST how many synchronicities appear. I laugh at them sometimes and say "Ok - I HEAR ya!".

Thanks for this inciteful post. I am subscribing!

Gratefully,
Jenny

I've always been aware of my connection to the "Source" but my worldly consciousness tends to get in the way. I've learned to sleep on major decisions mainly to combat this tendency.

So many times, I don't know what I want -- or rather, I do know but I am afraid to allow myself to want it, for usually practical, worldly reasons. I have to process each of these feelings or "logical" thoughts away before I can uncover my core. But once I do that, I usually have no trouble with the rest.

John, yes isn't that the ongoing challenge? To be present and to remain in constant connection with Source? There are so many ways the world bombards us with attempts to distract us ~ most of the time towards energies and things that have little visible connection to Source (although everything comes from there) ~ that to remain mindful and connected is, to my way of thinking, real mastery.

Maybe we can only do it in small amounts, and try to increase them more and more.

On a good day I go to sleep feeling that I was always connected; other days ~ I can tell exactly where I allowed my focus to drift, even while knowing at a higher level that I always am connected. Perhaps that inner assurance is what carries me through the rough spots.

How about you? How is it for you?

Nancy,
I have felt connected to Source since I was about five years old.
Staying connected in the day-to-day is the challenge. e.g. the roof is
leaking and it must be fixed quickly! Yes, I met you over at Delightful Work.
I'll be stopping by for a visit regularly. Thanks for a great post.

Hi Michelle and Susan!

Michelle I love what you said about only asking questions whose answers you really want to know; it CAN take all the fun out of guessing! And then there's that awkward moment when you have to decide whether or not to let on that you knew before you touched the ribbon. . . sheesh.

And Susan? I think the whole concept of "control" is an evil illusion/thought form planted by patriarchs from the 11th century. It's also a concept that is slowly dying a contorted death. So don't get too attached to that, LOL.

Thank you all for visiting! You're FUN!!!

Hi Tom,

I'm very pleased you visited also. Thanks for adding your comments.

When each of us really gets our teeth and heart and soul into what we knew we came here to do, the world changes dramatically and profoundly. I am so happy that it is your work, too, to be a consciousness-birther and adventurer/pathmaker..

Many profound blessings to you, Tom!

Hi Nancy,

"To me, it means that you already have what it takes to manifest whatever you want in your life." This is the essence of what I teach to budding entrepreneurs. Very powerful. If we would all just keep telling everyone we meet this truth alone we could tip the world in to revelation. Or perhaps we already are.

"Allow your focus to be sharp while visioning, then soft when releasing. By this I mean, while you are in the process of deciding what you want, use as sharp a focus as you can." I also found this to be excellent wisdom.

This is practical spirituality at its best. I'm pleased I visited.
