Many Indigos are attracted to spritual teachings from many cultures and beliefs systems; we seem to want to learn as much as we can about how things work ~ and will go to almost any lengths to “check out” ideas and teachings that might be very different from what we learned in our family of origin.

Some paths lead to work with Reiki energy; some lead to indigenous teachings that may or may not include shamanism. And many turn toward the East, to buddhism, yoga, and other spiritual practices, traditions, and belief systems. Because I too have explored many of these areas, it was a wonderful gift to be asked recently by some Native American reiki practitioners/teachers to prepare for them a new line of shamanic reiki flower essences.

Today is the Tibetan holiday called Losar (New Year’s Day.) It is traditional to wish everyone Tashi Delek (Good Fortune/Happiness) on this day.

February 14, 2009 is a very special day. No, not just because it’s Valentine’s Day ~ but for another special reason.

If any of you saw the 60’s Musical, Hair, or heard the rock song that came from it, these words will sound very familiar:

“When the moon is in the 7th house

And Jupiter aligns with Mars

Then peace will guide the planets

And love will steer the stars!!!

This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius!!! ”

At dawn on Valentines Day, Feb. 14th this alignment occurs!! The moon in Libra enters the 7th house and Jupiter and Mars align in Aquarius! There are a whole host of other important astrological configurations, which make the day extremely important for changing the vibration and consciousness here on our mother planet we call Earth.
